Celebrate the region’s finest food and drink next month, as the BBC Good Food Show returns to Glasgow’s SEC Centre on October 20-22. This year’s show will host a stellar line-up of top chefs and experts, regional specialities and the very best local producers.

Highlights visitors can look forward to at this year’s event include:
New for 2017 – the arrival of Nadiya Hussain – winner of BBC’s Bake Off, columnist, author and host of two top BBC shows, Nadiya’s Great British Food Adventure and The Big Family Cooking Showdown – Nadia will be doing live cooking demonstrations in the Big Kitchen on Friday 20th; on Saturday 21st, it’s the turn of the two Toms – Tom Kerridge and Tom Kitchin and Masterchef’s John Torode who’ll be cooking up a storm; on Sunday 22nd Tom Kitchin’s back for the morning session and The Hairy Bikers will be creating some fantastic dishes in the afternoon.

The Big Kitchen:
Also new for 2017 is the BBC Good Food Stage – an interview stage where guests can sit in on interviews with chefs appearing at the show over the weekend and get the chance to get their culinary queries answered by the experts!

Good Food Stage:
The BBC Good Food Stage is the place to discover the secrets of your favourite chefs’ success. It is also a chance to get your own culinary queries answered as our host invites questions from the audience and hear more from local heroes. Sampling sessions will be for the seated audience only and served on a first come first served basis

Pop up Restaurants:
Pop up Restaurants – in conjunction with Glasgow Restaurant Association – new restaurants popping up this year are: Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery on Friday 20th; Drug Store Social on 21st and and Red Onion on 22nd .

Producers’ Village – The Producers’ Village is a huge speciality food market at the heart of the show, packed with small artisan producers who pride themselves on the quality and provenance of their produce. Here you can try before you buy with some of the freshest seasonal foods, many of which you won’t find on your local high street.

Regional Food Pavilion – Discover new flavours for your Autumn menu from range of food and drinks producers.

Drinks Cabinet – Whether you enjoy cider, beer, spirits, wines, champagne or cocktails, you’re sure to find expert tips and tasters to suit your palette in the Drinks Cabinet, as well as some great inspiration for the festive season. BBC Good Food Champions – Discover a fabulous selection of artisan producers that you can sample and buy from and find out more about their story too.

Eat Like a Local – Hosted by Barney Desmazery (BBC Good Food Magazine Editor at Large) with Red Onion on Friday (John Quigley and local butcher Ramsey of Carluke) on Sunday it’s Drug Store Social Scott Leask and local/professional forager, Maxim – this session is free to attend for all visitors.
